Product Description

The EBZ280 cantilever roadheader is a high-power flagship machine for hard-rock tunneling, dedicated to large-section roadway construction in medium and large-scale coal mines and metallic mines. Weighing 86 tons, it is equipped with a dual-power cutting motor (280/200 kW) with two adjustable rotating speeds (54/27 r/min) for flexible operation. It excavates hard rock with uniaxial compressive strength up to 100 MPa and maintains stable high productivity under regular 65 MPa strata conditions. The cutting height ranges from 2.8–5.1 m, cutting width from 3.6–6.05 m, and cutting area from 10.1–30.8 ㎡ to fit various large-section roadways. Two optional shovel widths (3.2 m / 3.6 m) match different mucking capacities. The main body frame adopts a split structure for transportation; the heaviest single non-detachable component is only 8.7 tons to facilitate cross-border shipping and underground transfer. Compatible with international mine power supply AC1140V-50Hz, it is the preferred tunneling solution for large-scale hard-rock roadway projects.

Product Advantages

Dual-power & dual-speed design for flexible condition adaptation

280 kW heavy-duty mode crushes hard rock while 200 kW energy-saving mode works for ordinary strata; 54 r/min delivers fast tunneling and 27 r/min provides high torque for tough rock. Operators switch modes according to rock hardness to balance crushing performance and energy consumption and cut long-term operating costs.

High-efficiency large-section cutting with fine roadway shaping

The adjustable cutting area of 10.1–30.8 ㎡ forms various roadway profiles in one pass. The 250 mm cutting-head sumping depth and 260 mm shovel-plate sumping depth clear residual rock on the floor for smooth pavement and reduce manual finishing work.

Stable chassis performance for rough-terrain mobility

The 2.82-m widened tracks keep ground pressure at 0.19 MPa to avoid sinking and slipping on muddy soft ground. ±18° gradeability adapts to sloped roadways. Two shovel width options collect muck efficiently to match intensive tunneling and lower blockage-caused downtime.

Durable hard-rock performance with long service life of core parts

The high-power cutting motor has abundant power reserve against interbedded and compact hard rock without stalling or overload. Critical hydraulic and transmission components adopt mine-grade wear-resistant configurations for stable continuous operation and fewer intermediate maintenance stops.

Split modular transportation for easy deployment in large mines

The separable main frame together with front conveyor and rear support frame are shipped separately. The maximum single-component weight of 8.7 tons suits narrow underground haulage passages. Compatible with mainstream international mine power standards, it follows standardized on-site assembly procedures for short commissioning cycles.

Customized pre-sales technical support tailored to mine conditions

According to clients’ rock hardness, roadway dimensions and underground transport constraints, we offer power-mode selection advice, split-transport layouts and tunneling scheduling plans. Potential hard-rock construction risks are assessed in advance with full technical solutions to support overseas project implementation.

Full-cycle overseas after-sales support to minimize downtime loss

Specialized training for dual-power operation and remote maintenance guidance are provided, with stocked genuine spare parts for cutting motors and hydraulic systems. Online fast troubleshooting of speed-switching and transmission faults shortens mine downtime and ensures continuous large-scale tunneling production.
