The EBZ260 boom-type roadheader is a heavy-duty large-section tunneling machine developed for global mines with hard rock strata, designed for large-scale excavation of long-distance, wide-span roadways. Equipped with a 260 kW high-power cutting motor, it breaks rock with uniaxial compressive strength up to 100 MPa and balances productivity and operational economy under regular 65 MPa rock conditions.
Its cutting range covers 2.8–5.1 m in height and 3.6–6.05 m in width, delivering a maximum one-pass cutting area of 30.8 ㎡ to form large-size roadway sections in a single operation. The modular split structure limits the heaviest single non-detachable component to 10.1 tons for convenient cross-border shipping and segmented underground transportation. Dual-mode oil pump motors adjust power output for different scenarios, making it suitable for metallic mines and hard coal mines with tough strata as an efficient heavy-duty solution for large-scale roadway construction.

Heavy-duty rock breaking performance for ultra-hard strata
The 260 kW high-torque cutting motor runs steadily at 37 r/min with ample power reserve to avoid stalling against compact hard rock and interbedded hard rock layers. It reliably tackles rock up to 100 MPa while maintaining high productivity for common 65 MPa strata, adapting well to mining sites with high and fluctuating rock hardness.
Wide forming section range for diverse roadway specifications
The forming section ranges from 10.1 ㎡ to 30.8 ㎡ to meet construction demands of large haulage roadways and main roadways. Precise cutting-head movement creates smooth roadway sidewalls and drastically reduces secondary manual trimming to improve overall roadway construction quality.
Robust heavy-duty chassis for stable mobility across tough terrain
The 85-ton machine evenly distributes weight via 2.82 m widened tracks; the 0.19 MPa ground pressure delivers excellent anti-slip and anti-sinking performance on muddy and soft ground. With ±18° gradeability, 200 mm cutting-head sumping depth and 420 mm shovel-plate sumping depth, it efficiently clears accumulated gangue on roadway floors. The shovel plate is available in 3.2 m and 3.6 m widths for broad muck collection coverage, matching high-intensity tunneling output and minimizing downtime caused by material blockage.
Dual-range oil pump balances productivity and energy consumption
Operators switch between 132 kW and 160 kW hydraulic modes: the 160 kW mode supplies full hydraulic power for heavy-duty rock breakthrough, while the 132 kW mode cuts energy costs during routine tunneling to strengthen long-term operational economy.
Modular split transportation simplifies deployment at global mining sites
Separable modules including main frame, front conveyor and rear support frame are shipped separately with manageable single-component weight to pass narrow underground haulage passages. Compatible with internationally mainstream mine power supply AC1140V-50Hz, it operates stably under continuous heavy loads with widely compatible spare parts for easy on-site maintenance overseas.
