The EBZ180 boom-type roadheader is a medium-heavy main tunneling machine with solid structural rigidity and abundant power. It integrates rock cutting, muck loading and crawler transportation, specially engineered for medium-hard strata in medium-to-large coal mines and metal mines for medium-large cross-section tunneling. It cuts rock up to 80 MPa compressive strength and achieves cost-effective operation at 60 MPa. The modular split design facilitates underground segmented delivery and assembly, while the high-power hydraulic system supports long-shift continuous operation for regular tunneling in harder surrounding rock. Outperforming medium-duty models, it can be replaced by our heavy-duty series for extra-large sections or extremely hard rock conditions.

The 180 kW cutting motor runs steadily at 47.4 r/min to break rock with uniaxial compressive strength up to 80 MPa. It maintains high efficiency and controllable energy consumption at 60 MPa, resisting jamming in hard-rock working conditions with stronger penetration than ordinary medium-duty roadheaders.
Flexible Roadway Forming with Wide Cross-section Coverage
The available cutting area ranges from 8.5 ㎡ to 22 ㎡, with adjustable cutting height (2.5–4.4 m) and width (3.4–5.0 m). One unit constructs multiple mainstream roadway sizes and reduces model replacement frequency on site.
Stable Mobility in Complex Underground Terrain
Weighing 56 t with 2.4 m wide tracks, the machine features 0.19 MPa ground pressure to balance load capacity and anti-sinking performance. ±18° climbing capacity copes with undulating tunnels. The 3.0 m wide shovel plate with 400 mm sumping depth collects low-position muck thoroughly for smooth discharge.
