The EBZ230A low-profile boom-type roadheader is a heavy-duty tunneling equipment built for global mining operations, optimized for thin-coal seams, low-clearance tunnels and complex mines with frequent hard-rock interlayers. It addresses common mining challenges including confined vertical working space, high hard-rock cutting resistance and inaccessible working faces for standard roadheaders.
The EBZ230A low-profile boom-type roadheader is a heavy-duty tunneling equipment built for global mining operations, optimized for thin-coal seams, low-clearance tunnels and complex mines with frequent hard-rock interlayers. It addresses common mining challenges including confined vertical working space, high hard-rock cutting resistance and inaccessible working faces for standard roadheaders. This machine adopts a low-height optimized structure while maintaining powerful 230 kW cutting performance. It reliably cuts rock with compressive strength up to 90 MPa and delivers excellent efficiency and cost-effectiveness under regular 65 MPa hard-rock conditions. Built with a rigid compact frame and modular split-assembly design, it is well-suited for confined work zones, small-cross-section roadways and hard-stratum mining, acting as a primary workhorse for rapid tunneling in thin-coal and hard-rock mines worldwide.

Customized low-profile design for outstanding low-seam adaptability. The cover height is limited to only 1.65 m, specially developed for height-restricted roadways. It works reliably in low-clearance working faces where ordinary heavy-duty roadheaders cannot operate, enabling flexible steering and smooth travel within narrow underground tunnels.
High-power hard-rock cutting for stable performance in complex strata. Fitted with a high-torque 230 kW cutting motor with ample power reserve. It resists stalling or jamming when hitting hard-rock interlayers and tough surrounding rock. It supports fast routine tunneling for medium-hard rock as well as breakthrough tasks for local high-strength rock formations.
Superior underground terrain adaptability for stable movement. Widened track plates evenly distribute machine load with optimized ground pressure, achieving great anti-slip and anti-sinking performance. ±18° climbing capacity together with sufficient sumping depth effectively removes floor gangue and debris to keep travel paths flat during operation.
Wide-coverage muck collection for non-stop tunneling cycles. The 3.2 m wide shovel plate covers large gathering zones for high-efficiency muck pickup. It avoids clogging under heavy gangue loads and matches high-power cutting output, greatly cutting downtime caused by material blockages.
Easy split-unit transportation and broad mine compatibility. Its separable frame structure keeps maximum single non-detachable component weight manageable for narrow underground haulage ways. Compatible with standard mine AC1140V power supply, it sustains long-term full-load operation with low failure rates and straightforward daily maintenance.
